Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the First Landing State Park is the most visited state park of Virginia, located by the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach. This park was initially named Seashore State Park that was changed in 1997 to First Landing State Park for replicating its heritage as the first place, where members of the Virginia Company landed.
